    Ebay
    Ok, ebay is my friend.

I have been going through alot of my older armies for Warhammer and what not, and getting rid of the extra pieces that I have had sitting around.

Amazingly? Everything I have put up has sold. It feels rather good though. Its making a nice amount of room in the house, and its less things I have to look at and say "so, what do I work on next, and where the hell am I gonna put it?"

Im not fully getting out of my hobby or the game. This is still something I enjoy doing, and probably will for many many years to come. I have just come to the realization that I have way too much stuff, and I need to cut it down.

I guess I have grown up alot. I dont think I ever thought like that before.

Its good though. In the spirit of ebay, I have recovered some costs to me, and even made a pretty good killing on a few things I had gotten for free from random other things.

The next step? Paint some of the stuff I have, and put it up for sale. Those things make a larger amount of money from the people who dont want to paint it. I think I could do that.

This Saturday looks busy as hell already. We have 2 company picnics to try and make, a birthday BBQ we have been invited to, Dark Knight at the IMAX theatre that night, and maybe a little romantic dinner for just me and [info]malstria. And this is after the poor girl works a couple of hours that morning.

Yea, we dont get to rest often, so if you call us on the weekend and we dont answer, you now know why.

Gah, and we need to work on the save the date and invites soon....

    An Update, yo!
Maui is awesome. It was just the break I needed. I had a blast. :)
Life is more mellow these days. I feel like I'm in a stable relationship.
Work is getting easier. I get to redesign Ops. Now my creativity can come into play and I look forward to the opportunity and challenge.

Soon to be Ops Manager (if not already).

I am quite content with my current state of affairs. Everything in my life seems beautiful and in-place.

And now I get to snuggle with my favorite person. Blessed day.

    Relieved...
We took Mallory into the vet this morning to have a couple teeth pulled. They had to put her under. I was really nervous something might happen to her.

Rob just told me she woke up fine. Yay! Now she will be happier. What's so sad with pets most of the time is that you don't know something is wrong until it is really wrong... and local anesthetics are so risky.

    This is Mallory

    Bastards, covered in bastard sauce.
Those fucking bastards at Speakeasy have fucked our Internet connection yet again. We had to change the name on the account since [info]wolfieboy had moved out, and we wanted to drop the voice line, so they had to do a change order. It was bad enough that they were wrong when they told me I didn't have to be there for the install to happen, what was worse is they didn't say anything until the tech was there to do it. But wait, there's more. The tech had already started the install when he realized there was no one there to let him in to test the line. So he left the job unfinished, and yes, he had already disconnected the service we had. So we call Speakeasy, and they promise to get a tech out Monday morning. So [info]rundesnettes stayed home from work so they could do it. I bet you can guess where this story goes next? Yup, I get a call at 11 today from [info]rundesnettes, wondering where the tech was. So I call Speakeasy, and they know nothing about a tech coming out today. Our install had been rescheduled for the 23rd. Now I know why they didn't hire me when they had the chance, I'm not a moron.

being mistaken for a famous rockstar is a good thing. Because hot chicks love to sleep with famous rockstars. The trick is to get out before they want a song played for them, and realize you have no musical talent whatsoever. Nickleback and Coldplay have mastered this art.

    Weekend Report
    Good Weekend...

    - Saw Batman on Thursday night at the Cinerama with Emily, Rian, and [info]52_6f_62. Other than the theater being arctic, the movie was fantastic! Didn't get home until nearly 3 in the morning.

    - Friday, got up early, grabbed some lattes and Emily and I drove to Carnation for my company picnic (http://www.remlingerfarms.com/). We ate pig, cotton candy, and drink several glasses of wine. Got airbrushed tattoos, climbed on the titanic, played dodgeball, teatherball, and ran through the mister. Twas good times.

Went home, changed, and went out for [info]seasecret's bday party. Which started at Anna Perna (indian food)..where I actually found Indian food I like.. Woot! From there the party moved to the Stumbling Monk and then finally to B&O.

    - Saturday I made fritata (sp). We lazed about the house for a good portion of the day, then around 5 went out for lunch at Bleu bistro. Watched a train wreck happen outside, then went to Home Depot and purchased over $200.00 worth of stuff (Including a new house plant, BBQ, and cleaning supplies)... as much as I hate that store, I always manage to spend a crap ton of monies there.

We then went to El Corazon to watch Kevin's bend play. We got home around midnight, and crashed on the couch.

    - Sunday, [info]52_6f_62 made me pancakes. We went to the barber shop to get [info]52_6f_62 a haircut, then had lunch. We drove to my Dad's house for my 1/2 brother's birthday. BBQ'd and watched a Japanese horror move. All in all... good weekend.

    Thanks!
Thanks to Crow Goddess, Roostur and Ben for helping us out at the last minute with moving big stuff and helping with the moving sale. That rocked! We got most of the large heavy stuff moved. I am going to reserve the trailer again next weekend to move the remaining stuff and move the leftover sale stuff elsewhere. We may need help then also.

    It worries me.
The luster of the new job has already started to tarnish, and I haven't even received my first pay check. I try to excel at the things I do. I'm not always perfect, but I do try to do my best. I was imaging a new laptop today. This is the second time I have done that here. Three times I went to the lead and said, "I've done this, this, and this. Is there anything else I need to do?" Three times I asked that, and before I could ask a forth time, she asked if the desktop I was imaging was done. I had also asked several times if I there was anything missing on that. So, the next thing I know, I'm deploying the desktop. When that was done, and I got back to my cube, the lead asked if the laptop was done, and why hadn't I started on the other two? I was then treated like an idiot because I didn't know there was another docking station and cable lock in the bottom drawer of the cabinet behind my desk.

Well, at least today is Friday, so recovery tomorrow.

So, I sold a nice piece of collectors history from Warhammer: Realm of Chaos; Slaves to Darkness. Posted it up in eBay, and not 30 minutes later, someone had clicked the magic "I win" button and bought the thing.

As sad as I am to see it go, its worth it, because although I like the background it contains, I have memorized most of it, and its been rehashed into newer books anyway. So, its nice that its going to a collector.

One less thing in the house that is cluttering the place up. Soon, I will have gotten rid of alot of the things that, honestly, I dont either really need or have no more use or time for. Its a good feeling really.

I surprised the girl tonight by finding out that "Phantom of the Opera" will be at the Paramount this Sept. I asked her if she would like to go see it with me, and before I could even finish saying that, she was all "Can we go?" I love this woman. It will be nice to go see the Broadway "Phantom", and enjoy it with someone I love very much.

And Mistress Kangal; You be-goggled self sir, are fired. (If you dont know what this has to do with anything, then you dont read his LJ enough)

Ж-Men...but not the ones you might expect!
This week LJ Russia launched Ж-Men, a new comedy series about superheroes, inspired by the LJ communities dedicated to superheros, comics and cartoons. The title's "Ж" comes from ЖЖ, the nickname for LiveJournal in Russia.

Ж-Men's script is written by a group of LJ enthusiasts who also happen to be television professionals. Who knew? Following the premiere, five more episodes will be broadcast over the next two weeks. We hope you find the series fresh and enjoyable.

This is, of course, an experiment for LiveJournal. As always, we'd love to hear what you think!

I am going to start a new church, as I have realized that former football player, coach, and now commentator John Madden, is in fact the 2nd coming.

I will call it the Maddenist Church. My goal is to open a church house on every street that has a Methodist church on it. That way there will be a Methodist to my Maddenist.

I keep telling myself, "Batman this weekend" with the crap going on at el job-o. Maybe I'll raid the castle of Baron Von Jaegerstein afterwards.
